On Saturday, April 11th, 2015, The 501st’s New England Garrison and The Mando Merc’s Wampa Clan was invited to Crossroad Games in Standish, Maine.  This was for Crossroad Games 2nd Annual Table Top Games Marathon.  Gamer’s came to the store to play their favorite games for 24 hours, and to raise money for the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland, Maine.  Last year, the even raised $1400.  This year, they raised over $5000! On Sunday, March 29th, The New England Garrison, along with Alderaan Base, was invited to attend the Worcester Sharks hockey game in Worcester, MA. The day was also the birthday of Finz, the mascot of the Sharks. By all reports, this was a great troop. One trooper even called it “easy”! Plenty for the troopers to do, such as dropping the puck and attending the birthday party for Finz, but there was also plenty of “down time” to mingle with the crowd. On Thursday, March 28th, The New England Garrison was invited to visit a young Star Wars fan by the name of Alex who was undergoing surgery at the Boston Children’s Hospital. We had been told that Rex was Alex’s favorite Star Wars character, so Rex was sure to put in an appearance. However, on the day of the visit, Artoo stole the show! On Sunday, March 22nd, The New England Garrison, along with Alderaan Base, was invited to attend the Manchester Monarchs hockey game in Manchester, NH.  The day was also the birthday of Max, the mascot of the Monarchs.   On Sunday, March 15th, the New England Garrison kicked off the unofficial start to the trooping season by marching in the annual Boston’s St Patrick’s Day Parade. We were joined by members of the Rebel Legion’s Alderaan Base and the Mando Mercs, as well as troopers visiting from the Empire City Garrison! The morning started off with a breakfast tailgate party!
