The 501st Legion’s New England Garrison, along with the Mando Merc’s Wampa Clan, were invited to attend the Bangor Comic & Toy Con in Bangor, Maine, the weekend of April 25th & 26th. This was the first year for the BC&TC, and the con was a great success!  It was a perfect mix of sellers, artists, celebrities, entertainers, cosplayers, and others! On Saturday, April 11th, 2015, The 501st’s New England Garrison and The Mando Merc’s Wampa Clan was invited to Crossroad Games in Standish, Maine.  This was for Crossroad Games 2nd Annual Table Top Games Marathon.  Gamer’s came to the store to play their favorite games for 24 hours, and to raise money for the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland, Maine.  Last year, the even raised $1400.  This year, they raised over $5000! On Sunday, March 22nd, The New England Garrison, along with Alderaan Base, was invited to attend the Manchester Monarchs hockey game in Manchester, NH.  The day was also the birthday of Max, the mascot of the Monarchs.   On Sunday, March 15th, the New England Garrison kicked off the unofficial start to the trooping season by marching in the annual Boston’s St Patrick’s Day Parade. We were joined by members of the Rebel Legion’s Alderaan Base and the Mando Mercs, as well as troopers visiting from the Empire City Garrison! The morning started off with a breakfast tailgate party! With the re-launch of Star Wars comics by Marvel Comics, Rah-CoCo’s Collectibles in Providence, RI invited The New England Garrison to attend their event celebrating the day.  To help mark the fact that Disney/Lucasfilm is bringing the comic series back to the original publisher, the store also had local comic & sci-fi creators attending. Troopers in attendance said it was a small outing, by “the store owners were very nice to us. Everyone else was very cool as well.”  Thank you to everyone who attended and helped mark this historic event in the Star Wars timeline!
