On Star Wars Day, May the 4th, the 501st’s New England Garrison, along with the Rebel Legion’s Alderaan Base, was invited to Star Wars Night at Fenway Park. – This was a troop that is one for the history books! On Thursday, March 28th, The New England Garrison was invited to visit a young Star Wars fan by the name of Alex who was undergoing surgery at the Boston Children’s Hospital. We had been told that Rex was Alex’s favorite Star Wars character, so Rex was sure to put in an appearance. However, on the day of the visit, Artoo stole the show!   On Sunday, March 15th, the New England Garrison kicked off the unofficial start to the trooping season by marching in the annual Boston’s St Patrick’s Day Parade. We were joined by members of the Rebel Legion’s Alderaan Base and the Mando Mercs, as well as troopers visiting from the Empire City Garrison! The morning started off with a breakfast tailgate party! On Saturday, January 10th, the New England Garrison was asked to attend the funeral of Jeremy Boquet in Essex Junction, Vermont. Jeremy was vocal in Vermont’s Geek community, and was a huge fan of the 501st. He had met the Garrison at conventions around the region. The Garrison was asked to act as the honor guard at service remembering Jeremy’s life. The memorial was held at the local movie theater, Essex Cinemas. On Saturday, December 2oth, members of the 501st Legion – New England Garrison and The Rebel Legion – Alderaan Base where asked to pay a visit to a young Star Wars fan who was recently diagnosed with cancer and is in the hospital to begin his chemotherapy treatments.
