On Saturday, October 24th, members of the 501st New England Garrison and Alderaan Base attended the ‘Plympton Elementary Fall Festival’ in Waltham, MA. “The Plympton Elementary School Fall Festival is a Fall/Halloween-themed event to celebrate the Plympton Elementary School community and raise funds for the Plympton Elementary PTO. This year’s event will feature food, games, events and activities taking place within the school building and on the athletic field.”
On Saturday, October 24th, members of the 501st New England Garrison paid a visit to the Cedar Hills Country Club in Stoughton, MA for a Halloween Hay Ride.
On Saturday, November 29th, Darth Vader, Plo Koon, and an Endor Commando marched in the City of Lights parade in Lowell, MA. This parade is the grand finale to a day of festivities that ends with the ceremonial lighting of the downtown area, officially kicking off the holiday season. The trio were also joined by Captain America and Black Widow of the Avengers as they walked the parade route. Their mission was to help support a local non-profit group called STEP, short for Special Teams for Exceptional People. STEP’s mission is to provide sports activities and social gatherings for kids…

Mission Reports November 10, 2014
During the weekend of November 1st, members of the New England Garrison and Alderaan Base attended the 3rd Annual Rhode Island Comic Con in Providence. While the con had some issues with overcrowding, which lead to some ticket holders from being locked out for a period, the weekend was a big success for the NEG. We raised a grand total of $1414.74 for the Hasbro Children’s Hospital. There was also a Blood Drive at the con, which collected 49 pints of “the good stuff”. On Saturday, September 20th members of the Rebel Legion – Alderaan Base and the 501st Legion – New England Garrison participated in the 4th annual Skating For Hope event. This is a 24-hour fundraiser that helps to fund the Hope Lodge, which provides temporary housing for out-of-state families coming to area hospitals getting treated for cancer.
