On Star Wars Day, May the 4th, the 501st’s New England Garrison, along with the Rebel Legion’s Alderaan Base, was invited to Star Wars Night at Fenway Park. – This was a troop that is one for the history books! The adjective “EPIC!” is not a strong enough word to describe how great this night was! We arrived a few hours before the Red Sox game that night, so that we were able to suit up and walk onto the field. This was a glorious day for the Empire and one that will be long remembered! The NEG was invited to attend a double-header at historic Fenway Park for the Red Sox annual “Futures At Fenway”, which was played by minor league teams the Pawtucket Red Sox and the Lowell Spinners. The whole thing started out with Darth Vader throwing out the 1st pitch, from atop the Green Monster! Troopers also participated in other activities during the game and posed for pictures with attendees during both games.

On Sunday, September 11th, the New England Garrison of the 501st Legion, and Alderaan Base of the Rebel Legion were invited to join the American Red Cross for a blood drive. This was no ordinary blood drive; this blood drive took place at historic Fenway Park in Boston, MA; the home of the Boston Red Sox. Lord Vader was escorted by a faithful Stormtrooper alongside Han Solo and his co-pilot Chewbacca as they made their way through the crowds of people.
