On Sunday, October 20th members of the 501st New England Garrison and the Rebel Legion’s Alderaan Base participated in a very special event with the Portland Symphony Orchestra. Led by Assistant Conductor Norman Huynh, the PSO played music that spanned all 6 movies of the Star Wars saga. In addition to the musical aspect of the show, members of both groups made appearances on stage throughout the event. This included a showdown between Imperial and Rebel forces and an inspection of the crowd by Darth Vader and his troopers. It was a memorable afternoon filled with great music and atmosphere!

On Saturday, September 15th members of the New England Garrison attended the grand opening of a new Bon-Ton Store in the Maine Mall. Flanked by an Imperial Officer, Biker Scout, and a TIE Pilot, the squad of troopers and Darth Vader made their way around the store and greeted visitors. Since he was likely present to inspect this facility, I certainly hope that the store employees did a top-notch job of preparing the store for the Dark Lord’s arrival.
