Members of the 501 New England Garrison and Alderaan Base were on hand to support the 3rd annual Star Wars Day at the Higgins Armory Museum in Worcester, MA

Troopers roamed the halls and met with museum patrons in addition to supporting three panels throughout the day: two on molding/casting/thermoforming and one on Dressing a Clone Trooper (side by side with a dressing Gothic-Style Knight). This event proves to be more popular each year, with lines of patrons waiting to get into the museum, wrapping around the building for a majority of the day. NEG and AB members were treated to a historical fighting class after the event with the Higgins Sword Guild. We thank our gracious hosts for taking great care of us and look forward to returning to Higgins for their Star Wars day next year!

Thanks to all our fans! You broke the all time attendance record for Higgins Armory this past Saturday on Star Wars Day – 1,072 young Padawan and Jedi masters visited.

Great showing at the Higgins Armory last week! It was the first time I’ve been able to make it to the event. My daughter and I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for a great day! Here’s a blog entry I wrote about our visit:
