What does the 501st mean to you?

In May 1977 my Dad brought me to see Star Wars. It blew me away. I always loved the Stormtroopers and asked my Dad it they were wearing tap shoes because when they marched their shoes clicked. Fast Forward to Celebration 3, 2005. I watched the Today Show and was again blown away when Al Roker was interviewing a Stormtrooper from the 501st. After months of researching and months of costume building, I joined the 501st and the group is every thing I expected and more. I never knew there were so many people who had a love for Star Wars Saga until I joined the 501st. They are some of the best and most dedicated people I have ever met. Thanks

About the 501st New England Garrison

The New England Garrison is part of a Star Wars costuming fan club that currently holds a 4000+ membership in all 50 U.S. states and 25 countries worldwide. From Stormtroopers to Snowtroopers, Bounty Hunters to Sith Lords, the 501st is the premier Imperial Star Wars costuming fan club in the galaxy!

In addition to having fun in costume, we also enjoy helping our community. We have had the opportunity to participate in charity events, children's hospital visits, fundraisers, movie premieres, celebrity appearances and conventions.We can be seen in newspapers, the news, and all over the internet.
