A brief History of the NEG

In 2000, Scott and Rob Allen met up with Kevin "Darth Zippy" Zabawa of the Empire City Garrison. They learned that the ECG was about to join the 501st Legion, and that they could join as well. They started The New England Squad.

The New England Squad's first event was the Slanted Fedora convention in Framingham MA. The founding members of the group were: Scott Allen/TK-0413, Rob Allen/TS-0003, Jerry Buote/SL-0011, Joseph Medeiros/TB-0458, Stacey Alvares TA-1969, Kirk Angell/TI-0692, Matt Boucher/TB-0874 and Allysa Boucher, ID-0916.

The New England Squad continued to grow, eventually reaching sufficient numbers to split off from the ECG completely in 2001. The New England Garrison was founded by TK-413, Scott Allen.

Through the following years, the NEG has seen a variety of leaders come and go:
